Official Contest Rules

WVBE/WVBB, hereinafter referred to as (“The ViBE”) or (“station”) contests are open to anyone living and / or working in the (The ViBE) listening area. Some contests are subject to an age and / or other requirements which will be broadcast on The ViBE and posted at The ViBE Building, 3934 Electric Road SW. Roanoke, Virginia 24018. The ViBE allows only one winner per household per contest unless otherwise specified. Waiting periods for becoming eligible to win again are listed below.

No purchase necessary. Void where state or other local law prohibits. Employees of Mel Wheeler Inc. d.b.a. WVBE – FM / AM & WVBB-FM, The ViBE, and its agencies, agents, representatives, sponsors and their families are ineligible to win.

Winner will be responsible for all applicable local, state and federal taxes pertaining to prize(s) won.

Prize(s) may not be exchanged, substituted or refunded unless otherwise specified. The ViBE reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value if circumstances warrant.

The ViBE “ATM PIN TO WIN” contest period begins on Thursday, May 5, 2016 in the 10 AM hour and ends on Thursday, May 26, 2016. (Contest period dates subject to change)

The initial prize amount will be announced by the Vibe over the air. At weekday times during the contest period the Vibe will give listeners the “Vibe ATM Pin to Win” cue to call in. After the designated cue to call in, the ViBE will take the 20th caller to the station studio lines 540-527-0610 or 434-477-1001. The 20th caller will have to guess the correct a six digit code in sequence to win. The digits range from 0 – 9. Digits may repeat. Every time there is an incorrect guess, the prize amount will increase by an amount determined by the station. At the stations discretion it may give out clues to listeners, such as If the listener guesses a correct digit, The ViBE may, but is not obligated to announce which digit position of the guess is correct. The first eligible listener who is the designated caller upon a cue to call in who guesses the correct six digit code in sequence will win the prize amount in that contest round. Once there is a winner, the station will start a new round with a new prize amount.

Participants of The ViBE contests and promotions must be at least 18 years old and can win only once every 30 days for all prizes unless otherwise specified. The ViBE management reserves the right to withhold prize(s) from any contest winner as a result of giving false information upon winning the prize(s).

All prize claims are subject to verification. A valid photo ID Driver’s License is required or two forms of other ID. One being photo, other either Birth Certificate or Social Security Card.
Prizes are not transferable. If winner elects to not accept the prize won, the prize will be forfeited. Winner, however, is still ineligible to win again for thirty (30) days.

All prizes are forfeited unless claimed within 30 days or unless prior arrangements are made. The ViBE disclaims any responsibility for the inability to complete a phone call whether due to telephone equipment or overload and / or malfunction, busy lines, etc.

The winner waives any and all claims of liability against The ViBE, its affiliated companies, its employees, and agents for any accident, loss or injury occurring as a result or consequences of any contest or prize(s). The ViBE also remains harmless for any contest conducted with a sponsor or third party affiliate, where the delivery of the prize becomes impossible and / or
substitution is necessary due to cancellation of event, failure to deliver, act of God, or any other reason in which The ViBE had no prior knowledge or reason to believe this type of occurrence would take place.

Acceptance of prize(s) constitutes permission of The ViBE, its sponsors and its agencies to use winner name, voice, and / or likeness for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

Calling the ViBE studio lines for contest participation or otherwise, gives consent to record and/or broadcast telephone calls on air without further acknowledgement or notification. *i.e. (540) 527-0610 & (434) 477-1001.

By participating in a ViBE contest, participants agree to be bound by the official rules and the decisions of The ViBE management. Rules are subject to change. Any such change shall be broadcast on the Vibe and updated on rules posted on stations web site – vibe100.com.

All prizes can be claimed at the ViBE Building at 3934 Electric Road SW, Roanoke, Virginia 24018 during business hours (Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm), unless otherwise specified, and/or arranged with the ViBE Business Office.

Odds of winning a ViBE contest will depend upon the number of eligible contestants participating in the given contest.

Any prizes that are mailed, by request of the winner, are considered delivered at such time they are relinquished to the United States Postal Service or other reputable courier/delivery service. The Vibe will not replace prize(s) which are lost or undelivered by US Post office or any delivery service, i.e. UPS, Fed Ex, etc.

These rules are set forth to offer our listeners the most fairness possible, and to offer the most amount of listeners a chance at winning. ViBE reserves the right to suspend anyone’s winning privileges for a set period of time for misuse or misrepresentation while participating in a contest and the period can be extended for repeat offenders.

All ViBE contests, either on air or on location, are represented by the same rules. Age can vary depending on contest and/or promotion, whether it is conducted on air or on location.

Any discrepancies, conflicts, or confusion in relation to any contest, will be referred to The ViBE Programming management (Mel Wheeler Inc. d.b.a. WVBE-FM / AM & WVBB-FM) and such management decisions shall be FINAL.
